Time For Paint

I'm always on the lookout for new artwork to frame in my room but, I can never find an artist whose aesthetic matches mine especially in the style of painting. However, Ana Castiñeira or known best as TimeForPaint on Instagram speaks to my soul. Her works simply perfectly embody everything feminine & nostalgic. She perfectly intertwines women in the sense of being delicate & powerful.  

Her paintings include vintage muses such as Marilyn Monroe, Jane Birkin, Priscilla Presley, Bridget Bardot & many more. She also encaptures the youth and glamour of a new generation of Hollywood such as Dove Cameron (who recently reposted one of her works via Instagram), Zendaya, Lily Collins & Selena Gomez. She perfectly captures the sultry of Lana Del Rey & curates the perfect screen grabs from vintage and indie films. I got the pleasure of getting to briefly interview Ana & ask her some question about her work.

Where do you find inspiration when curating a new painting?

A:"I find inspiration in vintage films, photography, poetry, fashion editorials and photoshoots of my favorite singers."

When did you begin painting?

A:"I started to paint when I was like 3 years old? Haha but I started to show my work and take it seriously since 2015"

What are a few of your favorite subject matters?

A:"Maybe portraits or nature"
